WHEN Nate Diaz stepped in on just 11 days’ notice to take on Conor McGregor at UFC 196 in March, few gave the Stockton lightweight much of a chance against the fully-trained UFC featherweight champion.
But after absorbing everything McGregor could throw at him in the opening round of their main event bout in Las Vegas, Diaz turned the tables in dramatic fashion.

He rocked the Dubliner with a big punch, then took McGregor to the mat and locked up a rear-naked choke submission that left McGregor with little option but to tap.
It was one of the wildest main event fights we’ve seen in 2016 and handed McGregor his first loss under the UFC banner. Now the duo are ready to run it back all over again this weekend at UFC 202.
