Sergio Ramos works out on holiday in Croatia ahead of new Real Madrid season

SERGIO RAMOS missed a crucial penalty against Croatia at Euro 2016 as Spain lost 2-1 in the final group game – but the Real Madrid defender has no qualms holidaying there.

The centre-half, 30, put a poor tournament behind him as his Spain side crashed out in the first knockout round to Italy as he trained and relaxed in the Croatian city of Dubrovnik with his family.

A heavily tattooed Ramos posted a video on his Instagram account in his pants as he completed a set of reps in the gym, with the caption “Nothing worth having comes easy. Hard work!”

He also let his 10 million followers into his life with gorgeous Spanish TV presenter wife Pilar Rubio – who he has been with since 2012 – and their two young children Sergio Jnr and Marco.

The Real star turned into a superhero by flyboarding, while he and Pilar went scuba diving – before they went on a night out in the historic Croatian city.

Ramos might have no problem being a tourist in Croatia, but he admitted regretting the missed spot-kick that contributed to them losing top spot in Group D.

He said at the time: “I had a chance to put my team ahead and unfortunately I couldn’t convert. It wasn’t to be.”

As well as being Spain skipper, Ramos is Real‘s captain having played nearly 500 games since arriving from Sevilla in 2005.

Champions League winners Real start their campaign at the end of July at the International Champions Cup in the USA where they will play French champions PSG, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
