Snooker World Championship 2018 TV schedule: What matches are being played TODAY?


THE Snooker World Championships get underway on Saturday at the Crucible in Sheffield.

The 32 of the world’s best snooker players have arrived in South Yorkshire as they battle it out for the trophy.

Who will be on LIVE in the morning session?

BBC’s coverage will start on Saturday at 10am on BBC 2.

They will be showing defending champion Mark Selby’s opening match against Joe Perry.

He will start his defence in the first session of the tournament and Marco Fu vs Lyu Haotian will also face each other in that session.

That match will be able to watch on the BBC Sport page.

Which game will you be able to watch in the afternoon?

BBC 1 with be showing footage of the afternoon session with the story starting at 1.45pm. 

The afternoon session begins at 2.30pm and they will be showing Ronnie O’Sullivan’s match with Stephen Maguire.

Kyren Wilson and Matthew Stevens also go head-to-head.

When is the evening session on Saturday?

THE final session of the day will begin at 7pm, the same time the BBC 2 show will come on. 

Mark Selby will be back for the final frames of his match against Joe Perry and Ali Carter will be taking on Graeme Dott on the other table.
