IT HAS often been claimed that rugby players are fearless individuals… And Tendai Mtawarira has officially proved that.
The South African ace has become a sensation, but not for his on-field antics.
Seemingly tired of taking on the burly giants of the game, the prop decided to wrestle a giant python instead.
And as you can see, the slippery customer proved no match for the man nicknamed ‘The Beast’.
Taking part in a new internet show called BreakTheNet, he showed his bravery by grappling with the massive serpent.

The snake was being housed at a breeding facility nearby, but had been allowed into the water for a while.
However, play time was up and it now needed to be put back into its tank.
Undeterred, Mtawarira ducks back into the water with the host clutching the menacing creature.
They proceed to haul it over their shoulders and head for the edge of the water, with the Sharks ace now beginning to look a little concerned.
Despite being manhandled, the snake seems remarkably calm about the whole situation and hardly puts up a fight as it is taken onto the shore.
Mtawarira may be used to taming the most grizzled of front rows in the world ,but he has gained a new found respect for his snake handling skills.
