SPAIN’S World Cup squad have arrived in Russia after receiving a royal send off from King Felipe VI.
The 2010 champions landed in Krasnodar on Thursday evening after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Switzerland.
Julen Lopetegui’s squad arrived to Russia in style after they decided to ditch the team tracksuits.
Every player was wearing a navy suit, a blue polka dot tie and black monk shoes.
Before they boarded the flight, the team were greeted by the King of Spain at the Las Rozas de Madrid.
According to Marca, King Felipe VI told the team: “I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to see you before you embarked and I wanted to come and give you a hug before Russia.
“I wanted to greet you and give you encouragement as you are going to have the hearts and hopes of the country on your back.
“Everyone is afraid of facing the Spanish national team.”
