Super Bowl 2018: Will Smith, Mark Wahlberg and Elton John among Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots celebrity fans

NFL teams are some of the best supported sports teams on the planet with millions of followers around the world.

And among all those fans are some famous faces from the world of music and showbiz.

New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles are no different, and both will be cheered on by some of the biggest stars on the planet in Minneapolis.

Here’s our guide to some of the famous faces you could be seeing at US Bank Stadium during Super Bowl 52.

Will Smith (Eagles)

The Fresh Prince himself. They don’t come much bigger than the Hollywood icon that is 49-year-old Philadelphia native Will Smith.

After Philly beat Minnesota to reach the Super Bowl, Smith tweeted a throwback image of him wearing an Eagles jersey on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Mark Wahlberg (Patriots)

There’s nobody more Boston than actor Mark Wahlberg. He even starred in the film Patriots Day about the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013.

The 46-year-old was at the Super Bowl last year to witness New England’s dramatic comeback against Atlanta.

Kobe Bryant (Eagles)

Philadelphia-born basketball legend still has a love affair with his Eagles despite spending a large part of his life out on the west coast in Los Angeles.

The former Lakers star and five-time NBA champion recently tweeted: “Getting there wasn’t the goal Eagles let’s finish the job.”

Matt Damon (Patriots)

Born across the river from Boston in Cambridge, the 47-year-old actor is one of Tom Brady’s biggest fans.

When asked his Super Bowl prediction recently, he said: “It’s going to be the Patriots and the team that loses.”

Kevin Hart (Eagles)

The 38-year-old actor and comedian was born and raised in Philadelphia and still loves his city.

A couple years ago he played one of his biggest ever stand-up gigs at a sold-out Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles.

Since performing a gig at Gillette Stadium to herald the start of the 2004 NFL season, the British musician has quite a close relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

He even performed at a private Kraft party late last year.

Another Philadelphia native, the 43-year-old actor was at Lincoln Financial Field to watch the NFC Championship Game thrashing of Minnesota.

Pink (Eagles)

While she’s not really been seen in an Eagles jersey before, Pink couldn’t hide her excitement at Philly reaching the Super Bowl.

Pink is from Doylestown, just north of Philadelphia, and will perform the US national anthem at US Bank Stadium before kick-off.

The 55-year-old music icon witnessed New England’s comeback against Jacksonville to win the AFC Championship Game last weekend.

Coach Bill Belichick rarely looks delighted, but he was pretty happy to see Jon Bon Jovi on the field after the game.
