The Tennis Integrity Unit said two qualifiers and a match in the main draw were being investigated.

A French Open match in June is also being probed.

But Henman insisted the game’s governing bodies would snuff out corruption and punish wrong-doers.

He said: “I’m on the board at Wimbledon and I know with the TIU how much has been invested.

“No stone is going to be left unturned to make sure we get to the bottom of match-fixing.

“If someone is found out, then it’s important that players are banned and that their bans are significant — whether it’s life or four years.

“People need to understand that if it does go on they’re going to get caught and be punished. That’s important.”

Two players have been banned for life this year for match-fixing.

Japan’s Junn Mitsuhashi was banned and fined £38,000 in May for asking South African Joshua Chetty to talk to another player about fixing a match in 2015.

Greek player Konstantinos Mikos was banned for promising a player payment for losing sets.
