TOTTENHAM already have to change a fixture at their temporary Wembley home next season due to the Rugby League Challenge Cup final.
The Challenge Cup final – the sport’s major cup competition – is an immovable eventm having been played at Wembley since 1945.
Tottenham will play their home games at the national stadium for the 2017-18 season while construction work on their new ground takes place.
The club’s new 61,000-seater ground is being built next to the site of their current home White Hart Lane, which is all-but demolished now.
And the club had to put out a tweet just 14 minutes after the FA released next season’s fixtures, saying that their home game with Burnley on August 26 will have to be rearranged due to the rugby.
And it prompted bemused fans to wonder why the organisers didn’t factor that in when sorting the various matches out for the top flight clubs.
