And ESPN FC claims Egypt defender Hegazi, 27, has caught Spurs’ attention.

The centre-back is preparing for the World Cup with his future up in the air.

He was one of few players to impress for the Baggies, with Salomon Rondon also attracting interest.

Hegazi joined West Brom from Al Ahly on loan in the summer of 2017 – making the move permanent in December.

The injury-hit Belgian is yet to agree a new deal and chairman Daniel Levy is likely to cash in.

West Brom’s promotion bid began with the news that caretaker Darren Moore had landed the job full-time following an impressive audition.

As SunSport revealed, there was a lobby within the dressing room for Moore who were keen to see him stay on.

The interim boss performed admirably after taking over from Alan Pardew but was ultimately unable to prevent relegation.

Several senior players sought out the West Brom hierarchy to tell them that Moore, 44, was popular with them and capable of doing the job full-time.

Some hinted they would also be more likely to stay and help the club bounce back to the Premier League if he got the post.
