Tottenham star Will Miller starred as Oliver Twist as a youngster and is keen for more football under Mauricio Pochettino
AFTER making his first start for Tottenham against Juventus on Tuesday, do not be surprised if Will Miller wants more.
That is because the rookie defender, 20, is a former child star who played the title role in the BBC’s hit 2007 adaption of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist.

But now he considers himself at home as a footballer – much to the delight of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argie said: “I am very happy with Will. He played well against Juventus and is a very interesting story.
“I only discovered a few days ago that as a boy he starred in this big series. It was a treat for me to see him on YouTube.”

Miller, Tottenham’s Under-21 captain, looked very comfortable in the 2-1 loss to Juve, despite playing in an unfamiliar left-back role.
But it is no wonder that he showed no first-night nerves as in Oliver Twist he acted alongside big-name stars Tom Hardy and Timothy Spall.

Asked if Miller is a better actor or footballer, Pochetttino said: “I think he can be a very good footballer. He is very young but he is a very nice boy with a fantastic character and personality.”
Christian Eriksen is set to feature for Tottenham against Atletico Madrid tomorrow after recovering from the stomach virus that forced him to miss the Juventus clash.
