Tottenham striker target Michy Batshuayi wants £100,000 a week to seal White Hart Lane move

TOTTENHAM target Michy Batshuayi will join – but for no less than £100,000 a week.

The Belgium and Marseilles striker, top of Mauricio Pochettino’s list of forwards, would go straight in as Spurs‘ highest-paid player.

But it is believed the White Hart Lane hierarchy are reluctant to OK a deal for such an amount – thought to be around £20,000-a-week more than current top earners Hugo Lloris and Moussa Dembele.

Star striker Harry Kane, who today starts England’s Euro 2016 campaign against Russia in Lens, is thought to be in talks over a new deal.

And his pay packet could more than double – reaching the six-figure mark as reward for getting Spurs Champions League football.

Vincent Janssen remains a possibility for Pochettino.

The AZ Alkmaar frontman and Holland international, 21, scored 27 goals in 34 games last season as he topped the Eredivisie scoring charts.

Tottenham have been fighting it out with West Ham and Leicester to bolster their attack.

And he would be a cheaper acquisition than the £31million Batshuayi.

West Brom's Saido Berahino and Sporting Lisbon's Islam Slimani are two other frontmen on their radar.

But in capturing Batshuayi, 22, Spurs would have held off the advances of a number of rivals including West Ham and Chelsea.
