Twitter goes wild for Hazel Irvine’s dramatic Rio makeover… as she becomes the BBC’s odd Olympic crush

TWITTER is going wild for Hazel Irvine’s dramatic makeover, which she unveiled just in time for the Rio 2016 Olympics.

The pretty blonde, who at 51 years old has many saying she is improving with age, first presented the Olympic Games in 1988.

Catthew Mole MBE tweeted: ‘Wouldn’t mind frolicking in the water with Hazel Irvine at Copacabana beach’

Hazel is becoming somewhat of a pin-up for this year’s event, in Brazil, thanks to her extensive sporting knowledge, dulcet tones, and great new look.

Twitter user Jonny wrote: “Little bit in love with Hazel Irvine”, and Neil Cameron added: “Anyone who doesn’t love Hazel Irvine is weird. Superb broadcaster.”

Despite Hazel having other gigs covering the snooker and Winter Olympics – many Brits haven’t seen the TV presenter since the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow two years ago.

And people are stunned by Hazel’s flawless appearance, with many commenting on the fact that she doesn’t seem to age – and others expressing their love for her.

Hazel’s tailored fashion, groomed hair and chic make-up is a far-cry from just two years ago.

Gone are the frumpy jackets and messy hairstyles of Hazel’s past, and they’ve been replaced by a cute new safari look.

However, some have suggested the transformation is just a little bit TOO good.

Suggestions staff at BBC have gone a bit over-the-top with their Photoshop skills have been floating on the web, in relation to these promo pics.

But the BBBC strongly deny the claims, with a spokesman telling the Daily Mail: “None of our talent have been modified in these pictures.”
