Twitter users heartbroken as Natalie Sawyer leaves Sky Sports with TV presenter to pursue other ventures


FANS have expressed their sadness that Natalie Sawyer has left her role as a TV presenter on Sky Sports News.

The 38-year-old spent 18 years with the company, but has parted ways with Sky as she looks to pursue other ventures.

The avid Brentford fan completed her final shift at 5pm yesterday, with there being no reference to her impending departure.

Sawyer become known as being one of the faces of transfer Deadline Day alongside Jim White, constantly breaking news to her adoring supporters.

A spokesperson told SunSport: “Natalie will not make an official comment at this time but I can confirm that she worked her final shift yesterday at Sky Sports (News) and is very much looking forward to a new challenge.”

While a spokesperson for Sky praised the SunSport columnist for her work over the years, before wishing her the best of luck in the future.

They said: “We’d like to thank Natalie for her many years of great service to Sky Sports and we wish her all the best in the future.”

It is believed that Sky Sports executives instructed other presenters not to mention her exit on air.
