A PAIR of England fans have been jailed in Holland for their part in the shocking violence ahead of last month’s friendly.
The duo were sentenced to three months behind bars, with two suspended, after riots led to over 100 arrests in Amsterdam.
A third suspect, aged 24, was fined £436 for resisting arrest.
In sentencing, a judge ruled that the force used by police – which led to the man being injured – was necessary after he put up a fight.
The jailed duo – aged 22 and 24 – were in line for four-month sentences as demanded by the public prosecutor.
But the judge decided to be lenient after they expressed regret.
Large groups of drunk fans caused mayhem in the Dutch capital before the Friday night clash on March 23.
England supporters were branded a “national embarrassment” on social media for the appalling scenes.

One user wrote: “Scum, absolute vile scum.”
While another said: “Horrible, horrible creatures.”
