UFC superstar Conor McGregor confirms he will star in the new Call of Duty Infinite Warfare video game

CONOR MCGREGOR has revealed he has teamed up with one of the most successful gaming franchises in history Call of Duty – and will star in the new edition Infinite Warfare.

The Irish UFC superstar posted on his social media pages that game makers Activision have drafted the fighter in as yet another big name to act in a video game – which has become more popular in recent times

McGregor told his followers to keep on eye on the official Call of Duty Twitter page tomorrow for the full announcement and wrote: “When the biggest need the baddest to do work, I answer the call.”

There’s no official line yet on what role McGregor will play in the game, but he’s not the first famous face to make an appearance in the multi-billion dollar game.
Hollywood superstar Kevin Spacey played the role of antagonist in 2014’s Advanced Warfare, while Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will play a villain in the next instalment of the series.
McGregor has set the MMA world alight over the past couple of years and has conquered multiple pay-per-view and gate records, making the UFC, his current employers, hundreds of millions in the process.

His latest victory at UFC 202 has become his third consecutive fight to surpass 1 million pay-per-view buys, a remarkable feat which is unparalleled in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.

The Irishman, 28, has not proved himself yet on the acting stage, so it remains unclear whether he will have a speaking role, or if he will just make a fun cameo appearance doing what he knows best, fighting.

But we will learn more tomorrow.
