Usain Bolt: Sprinting superstar fails to hit the back of the net while training with French side JS Saint-Jean Bealulieu

USAIN BOLT might have to stick to the track – even though he’s desperate to make a switch to football.

But some new evidence suggests he might not be ready to lead to line at a top club anytime soon.

The record breaker has previously said he'd like to play for Manchester United and elaborated on his career plans last month.

The world's fastest man said: "It's something that I'm looking into. I might do a few trials"

He continued with "I want a trial. I don't want to actually just jump into it."

He added: "You know, [I want to] get some training in, learn a few things I think I'd be pretty good."

The world champion joined French side JS Saint-Jean Bealulieu for training on Friday, but he didn't seem to have his shooting boots on.

The non-League side's goalkeeper, Kevin Blois, described Bolt as: "fast powerful and good in the air" but video from the session implies he might need to practice his finishing before going pro.

The sprinter was seen hitting a shot well wide when one on one with the keeper and then heading over when unchallenged in he box.

Perhaps Bolt should stay on the track where he holds the world record for the 100m and is currently world champion after the Olympics in Brazil this summer.

Nine-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt won the IAAF male Athlete of the Year award for a record sixth time this year after he sealed the 'triple triple' in Rio, winning his third Olympic title in each of the 100m, 200m and 4x100m at age 30.

Bolt will retire next year, following the 2017 World Athletics Championships in London.
