ALEXANDER ZVEREV loves a radio journalist’s Yorkshire accent so much he promised Jonathan Pinfield “multiple questions” if he makes it to the French Open final.
The German second seed was completely taken aback by Pinfield’s northern dialect after his 2-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 second round win over Serbia’s world No 60 Dusan Lajovic.

Zverec, 21, was in relaxed mood on coming off court after winning the five-setter match that lasted the best part of three-and-a-half hours.
And when BCB’s Broadcast Manager & Head of Sport Pinfield piped up with a question, he replied with a smile: “Where you from, buddy?”
