West Ham call on crunch talks with London Stadium owners E20 over repeated crowd trouble

WEST HAM  will hold crunch talks with their London Stadium owners today in a bid to end  the fans’ civil war.

The emergency meeting with E20, who oversee security, was called after  clashes at the 4-2 home defeat by Watford — the third game marred by violence at their new home.

Vice-chairman Karren Brady  said: “The club has no control over stewards or police as it does not hold the safety certificate.

“So it is frustrating and disappointing  something outside our control is happening.  We will force a change if required as the safety of supporters is the primary concern.”

Fans want policing and stewarding beefed up  to end the crowd trouble between their own and opposition fans which left some children in tears on Saturday.

West Ham have vowed to issue lifetime bans to  troublemakers.

Ten thugs have already been banned.

A fan said: “This is supposedly the start of a new era. But instead there’s just a negative vibe.”
