West Ham eyeing double swoop for Fulham stars Tom Cairney and Ryan Fredericks

WEST HAM have Fulham duo Ryan Fredericks and Tom Cairney on their radar as summer signings.

The Cottagers maybe on the brink of promotion to the Premier League but both full back Fredericks and midfielder Cairney will be out of contract in a few weeks.

Hammers’ boss David Moyes likes both players and is ready toi pounce, according to TeamTalk.

Scot Cairney, aged 27, has been one of the standout performers in the Championship over the last two seasons.

This year was in the top three at the EFL Player of the Year awards, which saw teammate Ryan Sessegnon pick up the award ahead of Wolves’ Ruben Neves.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic apparently accepts that Cairney will go as it is thought the relationship between the two is ‘frosty’ at best.

Cairney has made it clear to Fulham that he feels he needs to move, whether they are promoted or not – and West Ham are already confident that they can strike a deal to land him.

But the loss of Fredericks, 27, is something else.

Whilst Cairney has long been a target of top clubs, making it almost inevitable he would leave after three years at Craven Cottage, Fredericks’ situation could have been handled better.

For Fulham failed to tie down the right back to a longer term contract and that has opened the door to the the likes of West Ham.
