Inzaghi enjoyed a distinguished playing, career, too — winning the Scudetto with Lazio under Sven Goran Eriksson in the 1999-2000 season.

He stayed with the club for over a decade until his retirement from playing and won the Coppa Italia three times as well as the Uefa Super Cup in 1999.

He was also only the second player — after Marco van Basten — to net four goals in a single Champions League match, when he achieved the feat against Marseille in 2000.
