FLOYD MAYWEATHER may have retired from boxing – but he remains the talk of the boxing world.

And he is set for another big pay cheque after The Sun revealed the boxer and UFC champ Conor McGregor have agreed a date and venue for their multi million dollar fight.

Here, we take a closer look at just why the American boxer is nicknamed “Money Mayweather“.

What is Floyd Mayweather’s net worth?

He is often seen on social media showing off bundles of cash, hence why he is nicknamed Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

The 39-year-old is believed to be worth around £510million ($650million), made up of prize winnings and a host of endorsements, according to the Forbes rich list.

He made his first $10million (£8million) payday when he secured $25million (£20million) for his 2007 victory against boxing hall of famer Oscar De La Hoya.

And he never dipped below that purse again.

What was Money Mayweather’s richest fight?

The boxing world clamoured for years for Mayweather to take on fellow world champ Manny Pacquiao, and when it finally happened in May 2015, “Money” is believed to have raked in around $220million (£175million).

The fight itself is said to have generated a whopping $600million (£470million) in revenues.

For his last fight, a unanimous points decision win against Andre Berto, he secured a $32million (£25million) pay cheque.

This probably had more to do with the fact that only a fool thought he would lose the bout.

What sponsorship deals does Mayweather have?

Throughout his career, Mayweather has said that he doesn't need to be sponsored or emblazoned with logos - but will accept $1million (£800,000) PER FIGHT to take these on board.

He has in the past been sponsored by Burger King and Swiss watchmaker Hublot, who agreed to the whopping price tag aforementioned.

Reebok once also agreed to pay $1million to sponsor the boxer - but were angered when they saw pictures posted on social media of Mayweather on a Nike shopping spree.

So what did "Money" do? He handed back all the money to Reebok and walked away.

What homes does Floyd own?

In June this year Mayweather splashed out $7.7million (£6million) to buy a five bedroom, five bathroom Miami mansion, that even has a "floating staircase".

To add some emphasis to his wealth, he shared a photo of his new purchase with two Bugattis parked in the driveway.

This luxury property fits in well with his others; a $1.5million (£1.2million) house in Sunny Isles beach and a $2.5 million (£2million) condo at the Ritz-Carlton Residences in LA.

What cars does Mayweather own?

Floyd is a BIG fan of cars - and he is rumoured to own over 100 vehicles.

Just some of the supercars he owns are a Bentley Mulsanne, a Bugatti Veyron, a Ferrari 458 Italia, a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, a Ferrari Enzo and a McLaren 650S.

He also buys multiple versions of the same car if he is a big fan, and owns fleets of cars in different cities in the United States.

How much has Mayweather been offered to come out of retirement?

Mayweather retired for good in September 2015. Or did he?

The big story going around at the moment if the prospect of a boxing fight against UFC champion Conor McGregor.

While McGregor has said he would only take the fight if he is paid $100million (£80million). It is likely Floyd will expect a lot more, bearing in mind he banked $220million for the Pacquiao fight.

However, it has not yet come to fruition and the pair remain engaged in a war of words.
