What Sergio Ramos told Cristiano Ronaldo in dressing room after superstar hinted at Real Madrid exit

REAL MADRID skipper Sergio Ramos firmly put Cristiano Ronaldo back in his place after the forward hinted he could leave this summer.

After failing to score and see Gareth Bale steal the headlines in the Champions League final win over Liverpool on Saturday, Ronaldo craved some attention.

The 33-year-old unexpectedly revealed to the media after Los Blancos third successive Champions League title he could be heading for the exit door.

He said: “In the coming days there will be answers about my future. It has been very nice playing for Real Madrid.”

Marca revealed what went down in the changing room after Ronaldo spoke to press, with captain Ramos taking exception to his behaviour.

Ramos said to Ronaldo: “It isn’t good what you have done, it wasn’t the right time to say it.

“Wait. Do not insist. You have to take a step back and we will help you.

“We are with you, but you must help too.”

CRIS OF DEATH Cristiano Ronaldo has ‘lost Real Madrid dressing room’ as stars ‘turn on him’ due to leave hint after Champions League final

The day after his changing room dressing down, the five time Ballon d’Or winner seemed to change his tune after a hero’s welcome from the Real fans.

He said: “See you next year. I feel proud to play for the biggest club in the world. I’m very comfortable here.

“With these players it’s impossible not to win.”

Ronaldo has sulked on several occasions during his nine years in Spain.

But a new contract and a bumper pay-rise has helped settle down the Portuguese star who is looking to add the World Cup to the European Championship title won in France two years ago.
