When are the Premier League’s first set of TV games announced by Sky Sports and BT Sport?


THE Premier League fixtures are out, but fans are eagerly waiting to find out if their team’s match will be on television on the opening day.

There are plenty of potential candidates for the TV slots on the first weekend of the new season.

Tottenham travel to Newcastle looking to lay down an early marker in the title race by avenging their embarrassing 5-1 defeat there on the last day of the 2015/16 season.

And Brighton host Pep Guardiola’s new look Manchester City in their first ever Premier League match.

Manchester United host West Ham, who will play all their first three matches away from home, while Arsenal are at home to 2016 champions Leicester.

Chelsea begin their title defence at home to Burnley and Liverpool travel to Watford.

When are the Premier League TV games announced?

Premier League TV games are announced in blocks of two months up until New Year, when the title race hots up and fixtures are announced in one month blocks

The dates for each announcement are as follows:

August and September - July 10

October and November - August 11

December and January - October 12

February - December 12

March - January 25

April - February 26

May - April 6
