LONDON plays host to its first ever Bellator event at the SSE Arena on May 19.

Canadian UFC veteran Rory MacDonald will go up against the notorious Paul Daley in what will be the pick of the fights.

Paul Daley vs Rory MacDonald

The headline fight of the night features Brit Paul Daley taking on UFC veteran Rory MacDonald.

It will be MacDonald’s first taste of a Bellator event after he decided to call time on his UFC career following a defeat to Stephen Thomson.

MacDonald has stated serious intentions to with both the welterweight and middleweight championships.

His opponent Daley has also had a taste in UFC but was banned after he lashed out at an opponent after the bell went.

It will be his seventh Bellator event, winning five and losing one so far.

Who else is fighting at Bellator 179?

 

Michael Page was set to fight Derek Anderson in the co-headline bout, but the heavyweight match-up was cancelled after  Page suffered a knee injury.

Cheick Kongo and Augusto Sakai will do battle in a heavyweight clash on the card.

A light heavyweight bout between friends Liam McGeary and Linton Vassell is also on offer.

Tickets can be purchased through the official website. Ticket prices vary from the lowest price starting at £35 to the top end tickets on sale for £350.
