Darron Gibson, Billy Jones, Lee Cattermole and Jason Denayer all mss the clash through injury – with Stepehn Pienaar and Donald Love both coming into the starting line-up.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is able to send out an almost full-strength side – with Josh King partnering Benik Afobe in attack.
Sunderland know they need to better the result of Hull today to have any chance of avoiding the drop to the Championship.
