Who is Moussa Dembele and what clubs has he played for?

Not to be confused with Tottenham’s Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele, the forward joined the Bhoys from Championship side Fulham in last summer’s transfer window.

Dembele joined the west Londoners as a 16-year-old, signing from Paris Saint-Germain and he quickly stamped his mark on the Fulham youth setup.

He made his first-team debut against West Ham on 30 November 2013.

A total of 63 further appearances followed, yielding 19 goals.

The 2015/16 season saw Dembele rise to prominence in the Championship as his 15 goals helped the Cottagers stave off a relegation battle.

He joined Brendan Rogers’ Celtic the following summer and hit the ground running – scoring a hat-trick in his first Old-Firm match back in September.

What has Moussa Dembele won?

His first honour was the 2013 U18 Premier League title, a hat-trick in the final against Reading sealed the title.

A second trophy followed back in November as Celtic beat Aberdeen 3-0 to win the Betfred Cup.

And he faces the Dons again in at Hampden in the Scottish Cup final.

Dembele will also collect the Premiership title at the end of this season as his side is 24 points clear at the top.

What is Moussa Dembele’s style of play?

Dembele is a typical number 9, his 5″11″ frame means that he’s able to beat men in the air while still being able to beat defenders for pace.

He also has an eye for the spectacular as his acrobatic volley in October’s Champions League clash with Manchester City showed.

How much would Moussa Dembele cost?

It is thought that Dembele would be available for no less than £40 million.

This may feel like quite a lot of money for Antonio Conte but with the windfall from the sales of John Obi Mikel and Oscar added to the club’s budget it may well be a price the Blues are willing to pay.

That sort of money would be no problem for any of his suitors who could all easily afford the fee.
