RUSSELL KNOX will be looking to win his first green jacket at The Masters this year.

The Scottish golfer will tee off at 3.12pm in Augusta as he looks to overcome the severe weather conditions that saw yesterday’s par 3 curtain-raiser cancelled.

Knox is a Scottish professional golfer born in 1985.

The 31-year-old turned pro in 2007, playing on the Web.com Tour, the European Tour and the PGA Tour.

Scot Knox is set to take part in his second Masters tournament in 2017 after failing to make the cut in 2016.

Knox has won six titles in his career, including two on the PGA Tour.

He came out victorious in the WGC-HSBC Champions tournament in 2015 as well as in the Travelers Championship in 2016.

On top of that, Knox won the Chiquita Classic in 2011, the Gold Strike Casino Classic and the Palmetto Hall Championship in 2010, as well as the Silver Star Hotel& Casino Golf Classic in 2009.

Knox actually reached the Masters in 2017 via three different routes.

Firstly, thanks to his performances on the PGA Tour, as well as for qualifying for the season-ending Tour Championship.

Finally, if that wasn’t enough his world ranking is well with the top-50 – at No18 at the end of 2016 – allowing him to take to the Augusta course.
