Who won Hughie Fury vs Sam Sexton?

HUGHIE FURY outclassed Sam Sexton to take the British title with a dominating display in Lancashire.

The 23-year-old was in control from the first bell and had the champ down in the fourth round – before the referee stepped in after another knockdown in the fifth.

Sexton’s feet were slow from the outset and Fury was just too quick and clever for the man 10 years his senior.

Following his win, Fury was keen to stress that his aim is to set up another world title shot.

He said: “I’ve done everything he said tonight. This fight is dedicated to my dad.

“I knew Sam Sexton would give his all, because this was his last chance. I was so relaxed I could’ve fallen asleep.

“I was confident. My body has got so much stronger. I worked on my right hand over Christmas. It was a boxing masterclass.

“I dream to be a world champion. Whoever has got those belts – I’m coming. Although I lost [to Parker], I’m coming. I’m ready to fight.”
