SALFORD Red Devils player Junior Sa’u may be used to the barge and heavy hits of Super League.
But he has revealed his softer side in a video to launch their new away kit.
And he may have a star on his hands in two-year-old son Lavon, who steals the show.
Centre Sa’u is shown in bed on a game day as part of the promotional footage for Salford’s new black uniform.
However, any slumber he may have wanted is disturbed by a little intruder.
Lavon jumps on his dad’s bed and says, ‘Wake up daddy,’ as he makes sure Sa’u is woken up ahead of what is supposed to be an away fixture.
‘Hey son,’ the Samoa international replies before hopping out of bed and heading downstairs for some breakfast.
Then it is a case of packing up his bag and heading to the game before he is seen in the dressing room putting on the new kit.
The footage ends with Sa’u heading out of the dressing room and on to the pitch.
Salford’s new video, which also features a family of fans on game day, is part of the club’s new approach to marketing.
They have already launched a new home shirt and efforts at getting schoolchildren to matches are being made.
And they may have discovered a star of the future in Lavon.
It is believed Salford may well wear their away kit for tomorrow’s friendly at home to Hull.
