A WOMAN who matched with an Olympic swimmer on Tinder but ignored his messages has revealed her regret after he scoops a gold medal.
The student, who is only known by her Twitter handle ‘@sabwow’, shared the flirty but incredibly short conversation she had with Joseph Schooling on social media.
Joseph, 21, won the Men’s 100 Butterfly on 12 August 2016, beating favourite Michael Phelps of Team US.
The University of Texas pupil captioned the dating app screenshot: “My Tinder match just won the 100M butterful final and beat Michael Phelps.”
Joseph, who hails from Singapore but studies and trains in Texas, initiated the conversation in April, writing: “Hey! How’s it going beautiful?”
The girl replied: “It’s going well! How about you?” alongside an emoji with heart-shaped eyes.
But after the sports star wrote: “Good thanks! Whatcha up to?”, the Tinder babe ignored him.
She admitted on Twitter on 13 August 2016 that ignoring him was an epic mistake: “And not replying to his message was my greatest failure.”
