World Cup 2018: Brazil firm favourites to win tournament ahead of Germany and France


NEYMAR came back from injury with a bang by inspiring Brazil to a convincing victory over Croatia ahead of the World Cup.

The Paris Saint-Germain star scored in his first outing since fracturing his metatarsal meanwhile Roberto Firmino also scored in the 2-0 victory at Anfield.

In the build up to the tournament Brazil were alongside Germany, France and Spain as the favourites.

But the Samba Boys’ odds have been slashed to 4/1 ahead of their rivals.

Germany, who are second favourites at 9/2 lost their warm-up match against Austria 2-1 and Joachim Lowe today made the shock decision to drop Leroy Sane from his squad.

Meanwhile Spain were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Switzerland yesterday evening during their preparations.

France who are also tipped for glory have beaten Ireland 2-0 as well as beating Italy 3-1 in June.
