Spain’s depth of talent was telling when FOUR Premier League stars missed out on their World Cup squad, with Cesc Fabregas, Hector Bellerin, Alvaro Morata and Marco Alonso all getting overlooked.

Meanwhile Roberto Martinez snubbed Radja Nainggolan as he selected his Belgium squad.

This led to the Roma star retiring from international football.

Spain trail the favourites in the market, with France, Argentina and Belgium being outsiders.

Defending champions Germany and Brazil are both 9/2 to lift the trophy.

Sun Bets spokesman Tim Reynolds said: “Nearly every World Cup manager has listed their squad and after analysing them, Germany and Brazil are our picks.

“But the experience of Spain and France could be a good punt as they have strong squads, who have shown they are capable of performing on the big stage.

“Gareth Southgate’s men are big outsiders after he named an inexperienced squad, but if he can get England’s squad in the groove of tournament football, they could shock the world.”
