SAUDI ARABIA claim they have prevented a terrorist attack on their World Cup qualifier against the United Arab Emirates.
Authorities in the country say 8 people have been arrested from two ISIS cells for planning a car bomb at the match, in the city of Jeddah, and a separate attack on military officials in the capital, Riyadh.
Among those arrested were two Pakistanis, a Syrian, a Sudanese and 4 Saudi nationals.
The country has also released a list of several more suspects wanted for planning attacks elsewhere in Saudi Arabia.
The match between the Saudis and the United Arab Emirates was played without trouble on 11th October and the home side ran out 3-0 winners.

Saudi Arabia are currently top of their World Cup qualifying group, ahead of both Australia and Japan.
In the next round of international fixtures they take on the Japanese away from home.
ISIS had previously attempted to strike a friendly between France and Germany on the night of the Paris attacks, leading to the Stade de France being evacuated.
