IT was a weekend where the London Stadium saw more entertainment than it’s witnessed since Super Saturday at London 2012.
Shame the stewards weren’t as quick though.

But should the Hammers’ board fall on their swords?
No, please, stay!
It’s far more fun for the neutral…
KANE NOT ABLE
The World Cup draws ever closer and, as per usual, we’re sweating on the fitness of a key member of the England squad.

First it was David Beckham, then it was Wayne Rooney and now Harry Kane could be struggling to make the plane after his ankle injury against Bournemouth.
Just a thought but has anyone got Uri Geller’s number?
A HARD KNOCK LIFE
Having been voted the Championship’s Player of the Season last term, it’s safe to say that Brighton’s Anthony Knockaert hasn’t really reached the same giddy heights as he’s made the step up to the Premier League.

More football features
Having thrown his toys out of the pram when he was subbed against Arsenal last week, he’s now guaranteed himself an even lengthier spell on the sidelines after a numbskull of a red-card challenge on Everton’s Leighton Baines on Saturday.
Yes, it was a tackle borne not out of malice but petulance and/or frustration but the irritating thing for Seagulls fans (and for Knockaert no doubt) is that he’d finally nailed down a place in Chris Hughton’s starting XI too.
Here’s hoping he’s learned his lesson.
ADIEU PARDEW
After another defeat this weekend – their seventh on the spin in all competitions – it seems that West Brom boss Alan Pardew will be having crunch talks with the Baggies board today.
Expect them to give him one more game to turn things round.

And then another if that doesn’t work out.
But that’s it, OK?
OFF THE SHELV
Two weeks ago Jonjo Shelvey stank the place out against Bournemouth and was widely criticised for what was a shocker of a performance.
Fast forward a fortnight and he has a half-decent display against Southampton.
The result? Shelvey for England!
Yet again.
GROUNDS FOR COMPLAINT
Remember when West Ham signed the ‘deal of a lifetime’ to move into the London Stadium?
Remember how smug David Gold and David Sullivan were?

MONEY SHOT West Ham chief David Sullivan hit by coin during fan chaos
And remember how it was sold as West Ham’s passport to a glorious new era of success?
Going well, isn’t it?
MOYES WILL BE MOYES
Talking of West Ham – and I can’t claim this as my own – but some Twitter sage pointed out this weekend that Hammers boss David Moyes could take West Ham and Sunderland down in successive seasons… and still have a year left on the contract that he originally signed when he took over at Old Trafford.
That’s some going.
