WWE news: Sex tape scandal Paige’s WWE return just ‘days away’ says Alberto Del Rio

SEX TAPE scandal-hit Paige’s return to WWE is just “days away” according to her fiancé Alberto Del Rio.

The British star has had numerous issues outside the ring, including a suspension for breaking strict drug policies.

She also had neck surgery and was involved in a naked picture leak onto the internet, which caused a huge storm for the wrestling promotion.

However, she returned to WWE headquarters in September as speculation mounted she was set for a comeback with Vince McMahon’s company.

Now her partner and former WWE world heavyweight champion Del Rio has said her a comeback to the squared-circle is imminent.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, he revealed: “It’s gonna happen pretty soon.

“Probably days away from going back to WWE.”

Del Rio also revealed that Paige has been back at WWE’s performance centre in Orlando for a number of weeks already ahead of her appearing in the ring again.

She let slip she was back in training with the company following her surgery on Instagram.

She posted a picture today of the WWE Performance Center, where wrestlers prepare before a comeback.

The state-of-the-art facility houses numerous rings with ex-pro trainers and a kitted-out gym.

She captioned the snap, accompanied by a smile and wink emoji: “Good day today.”

The Total Divas star also wrote: “Went to see an old friend today. Good to be back there! @wwe #RoadBackToMyHouse.”

Paige has not been seen in the ring since last year when she was suspended for failing the company’s wellness policy.

She then underwent surgery on a neck problem, before being axed for 60 days for breaking drug rules again.

The Monday Night RAW ace hinted last month at a WWE return after being announced as part of the roster for the 2K18 video game.

Paige is a two-time women’s champion and become the youngster superstar to hold the title when winning on her debut aged 21.

Meanwhile, the 40-year-old Del Rio left WWE in 2016 and was recently working for fellow American promotion Impact Wrestling and as well as MMA organisation Combate Americas.

When asked on whether he would ever go back to work for McMahon he left wrestling fans in no doubt, claiming he had zero interest.
