WWE legend Kurt Angle seemingly throws down the challenge to Universal Champion Brock Lesnar

KURT ANGLE seems to have thrown down a challenge to Brock Lesnar by claiming he could “tame The Beast” once again.

Current WWE Universal Champion Lesnar is the most dominant star in the company and has held the belt since WrestleMania 33.

Since his return to wrestling in 2012 he has conquered a host of big names including The Undertaker, Triple H, John Cena and more recently Braun Strowman.

Angle came back to WWE himself after a 11 years away from the company in April 2017 but has only competed in the ring on a few occasions.

However, the 49-year-old two-time Olympic Gold Medallist still thinks he has got enough left in the tank to overcome his old nemesis.

A fan tweeted a GIF of Angle battling against Lesnar at WrestleMania 19.

And the six-time former world champ replied: “I tamed the beast once. Bet I could do it again. #itstrue.”

Angle lost the WWE Title to Lesnar 15 years ago at Mania before their rivalry intensified.

SHOWSTOPPER HBK to make stunning WWE return IN LONDON next month

The Hall of Famer claimed the belt back at Vengeance later that year in a Triple Threat Match that included Big Show.

Lesnar also tapped out to the Ankle Lock when the pair clashed again at SummerSlam a few weeks later.

However, The Beast would gain revenge as the ex-UFC Heavyweight king came out on top in an epic 60-minute Iron Man Match with Angle on SmackDown.

Angle, now the commissioner of Monday Night Raw, and Lesnar are both not expected to compete at next month’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view.

But as he has shown on numerous occasions since his return, Brock is never one to turn down a challenge.
