LEGEND Shawn Michaels allegedly turned down an “insane” offer from WWE to come out of retirement at the Greatest Royal Rumble.
WWE head to Saudi Arabia tonight for the spectacular that will feature seven title matches and the first-ever 50-man Rumble.
Owner Vince McMahon has pulled out all the stops in order to make an impression with a host of iconic names such as Chris Jericho, Undertaker and Rey Mysterio joining the already stacked card that includes the likes of Brock Lesnar and John Cena.
Now it has emerged that the billionaire also attempted to bring the Heartbreak Kid, 52, with him too – but was quickly rejected.
Michaels has not fought since he lost a retirement match to Taker at WrestleMania 26 eight years ago.
But his buddy X-Pac, real name Sean Waltman, revealed that the Showstopper was offered huge bucks to make a one-off comeback in the Middle East.
Speaking on his podcast 1,2,360, he said: “There’s a lot of money being thrown around.
“It’s an insane amount of money being thrown around.

“I know that this weekend I was in Baltimore and I was with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash and we were talking about that.
“You know they wanted to get Shawn, and he was just like, ‘you know what, don’t even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me’. Cause there’s huge money offers.”

Michaels is regarded as one of the all-time greats and produced memorable matches with stars such as Triple H, Ric Flair and Razor Ramon on countless occasions.
Saudi Arabia is believed to have paid WWE a huge sum to hold the first blockbuster event of what will be a ten-year package.
It will feature a number of dream fights like Triple H vs John Cena, Lesnar vs Roman Reigns and Taker against Rusev in a Casket Match.
