WWE news: Big Cass back in training ahead of ring return after horror ACL tear


WWE star Big Cass is back in training ahead of his return after a horror ACL injury, it can be revealed.

The 31-year-old had to have emergency surgery after picking up the shocking knee tear during a Brooklyn Street Fight with Enzo Amore.

He fell over the ropes and landed awkwardly on the Monday Night RAW after SummerSlam, forcing the referee to call off the match.

Cass is expected to miss more than nine months of action and will not return until at least WrestleMania next year.

And his WWE rival, but out-of-ring pal, Enzo Amore has revealed his ex-tag team partner is back in the gym ahead of a comeback.

Enzo said: “From what I’ve heard he’s rehabbing his injury at the WWE Performance Center.

“He is trying to get back into the fray… and Total Divas.”

Big Cass himself told this week how he has teamed up with John Cena’s trainer to help get back to full fitness.

He said: “I just bought a new house in Tampa, Florida. I’m rehabbing twice a day and training with Rob McIntyre, getting back in shape lifting wise.

“I’ve been hanging around the house, doing some Fantasy Football and also brushing up on my Spanish.”
