A YOUTH football coach was arrested yesterday over historical sex abuse.
Police said Michael “Kit” Carson, 73, was suspected of indecency with children and indecent assault.
The Irishman, who has spent his career in English football, is currently the UK scout for a Finnish club.
Married Carson, who has had ties to Peterborough United, Norwich City and Cambridge United, was detained at his riverside apartment in Cambridge, which was empty yesterday.
His website was down last night. Previously it had endorsements from international and Premier League stars including Danny Mills and Craig Bellamy.
