Galthié confirmed as Toulon boss

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has confirmed that Fabien Galthié will take over from Mike Ford at the club next season.

The announcement signals the end of Mike Ford’s time with the three-time European champions, with the former Bath boss leaving at the end of the season.

Galthié, whose last role was in the Top 14 with Montpellier, has been sought after by Boudjellal for some time.

He will join the club as sporting director, while Fabrice Landreau, the former manager at Grenoble, has also joined on a two-year contract and will work with Galthié.

Marc del Maso will stay at the club next season as forwards coach, the club confirmed, with Galthié now working with Landreau to appoint coaching and medical staff ahead of next season.

Regarding Ford, Toulon confirmed on their website that he “wants to get involved in another project.”
