Northampton Saints fly-half Stephen Myler is a major doubt for his side's last two games of the Premiership season.
Myler was substituted at half-time in the narrow 27-25 defeat to the Saracens two Saturdays ago with a knee injury.
And Northampton coach Jim Mallinder has confirmed that Myler is unlikely to feature in Saturday's trip to Exeter and the final-day clash with Harlequins.
“Stephen Myler is probably going to struggle for the last two games,” Mallinder told The Northampton Chronicle and Echo.
“He picked up a bit of a knee injury in the last game so he’s probably going to struggle to make the last two.”
Meanwhile, flanker Calum Clark, who is moving to Sarries in the off-season, is also doubtful.
“Unfortunately he’s picked up a calf injury, so he’s struggling at the moment," the 51-year-old added.
However, Mallinder will be relieved that George North (side) and Louis Picamoles (shoulder) are making speedy recoveries ahead of Saturday’s crucial game at Sandy Park.
“Both George and Louis are making good progress,” Mallinder added.
