Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac has revealed that he has held informal talks with the Welsh Rugby Union about taking over from Warren Gatland as Wales’ coach in 2019.
Elsewhere, scrum-half Nic Groom will be leaving Northampton Saints with immediate effect and returning to South Africa to link up with the Lions in Super Rugby.

What’s on TV
The Premiership returns on BT Sport with them showing Sale Sharks v Wasps, Bath v Leicester Tigers and the West Country derby between play-off chasers Exeter Chiefs and Gloucester.
On Sky Sports, Super Rugby opens proceedings as the Hurricanes host the Sharks before they broadcast four more games on the Saturday. There are also two Top 14 encounters, the Scarlets’ PRO14 match against the Glasgow Warriors and the Honk Kong Sevens.
