Croatia-Brazil World Cup Quarterfinal Odds and Betting Preview

Brazil is a massive favorite against Croatia in their World Cup quarterfinal matchup Friday.

Brazil is a heavy favorite (-275) against Croatia (+750) in their World Cup quarterfinal matchup Friday in Qatar after dominating South Korea, 4-1, on Monday. Brazil had 18 scoring opportunities and the score would have been even more lopsided if not for heroic efforts from South Korea goalie Kim Seung-gyu.

Croatia enters this match after defeating Japan on penalty kicks (3-1) following a 1-1 draw Monday. It finished second in Group F but faces an uphill battle here due to the lack of a true striker and its star midfielder Luka Modric being 37 years old.

Brazil enters this match fully healthy and it will also be more rested as it was able to switch out most of the team versus Cameroon in the Group G finale and it was also able to sub goalkeepers late versus South Korea after jumping out to a commanding 4-0 halftime lead.

This is Brazil’s eighth straight quarterfinal appearance. However, it has lost three of the last four in this round.
