The tight end just underwent knee surgery.
When talking to reporters Wednesday, Falcons coach Arthur Smith announced tight end Kyle Pitts will miss the rest of the 2022 season after undergoing knee surgery.
Pitts reportedly tore his MCL on Nov. 20 against the Bears. Smith added that ”there’s nothing that concerns us” when discussing the long-term effects of the injury. Earlier Wednesday morning, Pitts posted a picture on his Instagram story that showed him in a hospital bed with a brace over his right leg with the caption “Day 1.”
The former first-round pick’s season ends with 356 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.
Atlanta selected the Florida playmaker with the No. 4 pick in the 2021 NFL draft and will depend on his ability to recover and bounce back in 2023.
