World Cup Schedule: Round of 16 Matchups Revealed


The group stage is over, setting the stage for the knockout rounds to begin.

The World Cup group stage is officially over, as 16 teams remain to vie for a spot in the quarterfinals. The top two teams in each group have advanced, and they will play over the next four days to determine who moves on to the next round.

The USMNT will participate in the first match of the knockout rounds vs. Netherlands, with action starting at 10 a.m. ET on Fox. In total, there will be two games a day spread over four days before the World Cup has two days off between rounds.

All eight games for this round will be standalone games, with six games airing Fox, while both Sunday games will air on FS1.

Here is the full Round of 16 schedule:

Saturday, Dec. 3:

  • Match 49: Netherlands vs. United States (10 a.m. EST, Khalifa International Stadium)
  • Match 50: Argentina vs. Australia (2 p.m. EST, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium)

Sunday, Dec. 4:

  • Match 52: France vs. Poland (10 a.m. EST, Al Thumama Stadium)
  • Match 51: England vs. Senegal (2 p.m. EST, Al Bayt Stadium)

Monday, Dec. 5:

  • Match 53: Japan vs. Croatia (10 a.m. EST, Al Janoub Stadium)
  • Match 54: Brazil vs. South Korea (2 p.m. EST, Stadium 974)

Tuesday, Dec. 6:

  • Match 55: Morocco vs. Spain (10 a.m. EST Education City Stadium)
  • Match 56: Portugal vs. Switzerland (2 p.m. EST, Lusail Stadium)
