3D Scanning Mouthguard Company Makes José Bautista Newest Brand Ambassador

In order to expand their brand, GuardLab, a custom mouthguard company, announced their newest brand ambassador and athlete to the advisory board, José “Joey Bats” Bautista.

Bautista plays outfield for the Toronto Blue Jays and he is a six-time All-Star. He started wearing GuardLab’s lower performance mouthguard last year after the company started to equip other Blue Jay players with mouthguards. Instantly Bautista was hooked.

“I never knew that a mouthguard could impact training, recover and performance,” Bautista said in a press release. “The lower guard I wear helps me get into alignment, breath better and create less tension throughout my body during movement.”

GuardLab uses a 3D scanning technology that captures every ridge and curve of each customer’s teeth. The company also takes into consideration the bite optimization, which is the relationship between the top and bottom teeth when biting down. They determine the best bite position by scanning both the upper and lower teeth.

The team at GuardLab then aligns and repositions the jaw to correct muscle imbalances, improve the neuromuscular response and increase oxygen intake with the Alignment Repositioning Cushion. It also stabilizes the jaw and neck muscles, which supports full body alignment.

Customers can book a 3D scan at a location near them and a 3D scan is included in their first mouthguard purchase. Each mouthguard is then made and printed using 3D technologies in Long Island, NY. Free shipping is included with every order.

For first time customers 17 and under it will be $149.99 and $99.99 for additional purchases from the same scan. If the customer is 18 and older, the price is $249.99 for the first mouthguard and $124.99 for other mouthguards from the same scan.

“José Bautista is an excellent ambassador for GuardLab,” said CEO of GuardLab, Aidan Butler. “Having one of the most talented and respected players in professional sports represent and promote the innovative use of our performance mouthguards for baseball is very exciting for the company.”
