FLYPRO, a drone company based in Shenzhen, the Silicon Valley of China, recently released XEagle, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), that includes advanced flight control systems, visual positioning systems and obstacle avoidance. FLYPRO’s target market are people who enjoy outdoor activities and action sports.
The XEagle includes a smart watch design to control the device as it takes off and lands and it even adjusts the height during flight. It is portable and easy to navigate. The smart watch design allows users to capture high definition pictures and videos while being involved with intense sports, like skiing and mountain biking.

The XEagle device also features a built-in voice recognition system that commands the XEagle to launch. It responds to both Chinese and English commands with up to 15 meters of range.
“Now, customers favor UAV products with lower risks associated with operating the aerial vehicles as well as technological innovations that enables users to perform complex tasks without advanced training,” said Lin Hai, the founder and CEO of FLYPRO. “When other companies are looking for ways to make UAV products more accessible to the public, FLYPRO has already achieved that with our innovative functions like smart watch control, auto follow and obstacle avoidance that allow everyone to enjoy flying the UAVs for sports and entertainment.”
The aircraft has speeds up to 15m/s, 360-degree high-speed follow and record, and an eight-ways intelligent hand control to adjust the orientation that allows users to record any moment hands free.
XEagle users can also customize their device’s flight path with the app that is available on both iOS and Android mobile devices. The app lets you draw any flight path and the aircraft will fly accordingly. The app also includes HD video and an image transmission system.
Customers may hesitate when buying drone devices due to the hazards associated with drones. But the XEagle includes technology that aims to lessen safety concerns. The GPS signal loss protection is switched on when the GPS signal is lost and it waits for control command to prevent crashing. Or if the control signal is lost, the aircraft will return home and land. A yellow light will turn on when the device detects an inconsistency between the inside and outside compasses’ data. The aircraft will then automatically land. Finally, the XEagle includes low-voltage protection. When the voltage is too low, the smart watch vibrates, the status light turns yellow and it will again automatically land.
