App Report: Under Armour Outperforms Nike, Fitbit In User Sentiment

ARC, which is the research arm of digital testing company Applause, recently examined 4,500 health and fitness apps across more than 1.5 million consumer reviews. Among its findings — which didnt take into consideration the number of app downloads — were that Under Armour outperformed other major brands such as Nike and Fitbit in user sentiment.

It should be noted that ARC established a minimum threshold of 5,000 app reviews (iOS and Android) over the past 13 months to pinpoint the most popular health and fitness apps. ARC gave the mobile apps, which were broken down into four categories (stress relief, personal health, nutrition and fitness), a user sentiment score ranging from 0 to 100 based on reviews. Apps were also rated on 10 key attributes, like satisfaction and performance.

Below are some key results from the report.
