Blast Motion Builds Off Their Partnership With Easton To Launch Three New Baseball Apps

With baseball season is getting into full swing, pro teams can now look to improve their batting practices with the conjunction of Blast Motion’s major project, Easton Power Sensor, and the company’s three new apps.

Based in Carlsbad, California, Blast Motion helps make the idea of personalized motion capture technology achievable for consumers. With real-time metrics, sports analytics and auto-curated video highlights, Blast Motion creates a way for users to capture, analyze and improve their game.

Both baseball and softball players of all ages can use the Easton Power Sensor and mobile app to work on improving their swing accuracy and power, as well as their overall game performance.

The Easton Power Sensor simply connects to an attached grip and then it slips onto the butt of any baseball or softball bat. The app captures video highlights of your actions and combines them with the sensor metrics for easy replays. The app tracks swing speed, time to contact, swing direction and power. Users can check out their stats and over time, they can track their consistency and improvement.

With the addition of three apps, players and coaches can now get more information that will help them to manage their team. These apps were designed for the use of professional teams, both in major and minor leagues. The Power Sensor Pro app streamlines the collection and analysis of swing data for coahces. It tracks player performance during team training and from there, a coach can focus on specific details of a player’s swing. The Power Sensor Admin allows users to manage an entire team of individual sensors. A Blast-assigned team identifier is required for login to the apps.

“With the introduction of our new pro team apps and on-field activity approval, professional baseball teams can now use Blast’s patented technology to deliver best-in-class metrics accuracy, always ready to capture power management, and dynamic sensor calibration, ensuring technology doesn’t get in the way of training,” said Walt Nolen, Baseball Channel Manager for Blast Motion. “On-field activity allows the Easton Power Sensor to be used during training for activities that range from batting cage and tee work to formal workouts and on-field batting practice.”

The Easton Power Sensor is available in the United States and Canada, both online and at major retailers for $149.95. Users can get the Easton Power Sensor app on both the App Store and Google Play Store. As of now, the new apps are only available on the App Store.
