Blast Motion, SquadLocker to Bring Swing Sensor Technology to Youth Sports

Blast Motion has announced that its bat sensor technology will now be available through SquadLocker’s online marketplace.

Blast Motion is the official bat sensor for MLB. The company’s products sense movement and track data for swing analysis for baseball, softball, and golf players, including calculating ball exit velocity, launch angle, and projected distance. SquadLocker mainly sells customizable apparel aimed at youth sports players and coaches, but will now offer Blast Motion sensor technology, too.

“By partnering with Blast, we’re able to bring their game changing technology to our customer base,” said Gary Goldberg, CEO of SquadLocker, in a press release. “We’re excited to see what our teams, and more specifically, what our players will achieve when they implement Blast into their training routines.”

Blast’s tracking technology has gained significant traction at the pro level in both baseball and golf, and this deal with SquadLocker will aim to extend that success into youth sports. For golf, Blast Motion offers a golf swing analyzer that measures data such as total swing time, loft, tempo, lie, and rotation. Blast Motion teamed with TaylorMade to design a smart putter earlier this year.
